Maskil of the sons of Korah.

1 As the deer
Lit longs for
pants for the water brooks,
So my soul
Lit longs for
,
dpants for You, O God.
2My soul ethirsts for God, for the fliving God;
When shall I come and
Some mss read see the face of God
,
happear before God?
3My itears have been my food day and night,
While they jsay to me all day long, “Where is your God?”
4These things I remember and I kpour out my soul within me.
For I lused to go along with the throng and
Or move slowly with them
lead them in procession to the house of God,
With the voice of njoy and thanksgiving, a multitude keeping festival.

5 oWhy are you
Or sunk down
,
qin despair, O my soul?
And why have you become rdisturbed within me?
Or Wait for
,
tHope in God, for I shall
Or still
again praise
Some ancient versions read Him, the help of my countenance and my God
Him
For the
Or saving acts of
,
xhelp of His presence.
6O my God, my soul is
Or sunk down
in despair within me;
Therefore I zremember You from aathe land of the Jordan
And the
Lit Hermons
peaks of acHermon, from Mount Mizar.
7Deep calls to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls;
All Your adbreakers and Your waves have rolled over me.
8The Lord will aecommand His lovingkindness in the daytime;
And His song will be with me afin the night,
A prayer to agthe God of my life.

9I will say to God ahmy rock, “Why have You forgotten me?
Why do I go aimourning
Or while the enemy oppresses
because of the akoppression of the enemy?”
10As a shattering of my bones, my adversaries revile me,
While they alsay to me all day long, “Where is your God?”
11 amWhy are you
Or sunk down
in despair, O my soul?
And why have you become disturbed within me?
Or Wait for
Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him,
The
Or saving acts of
help of my countenance and my God.
